NFL Draft & Clemson Spring Game

Tonight marked the 2011 NFL draft. We watched the first couple picks with Pops and Uncle Brad before you went to bed. We were hoping for Da'Quan to go in the Top 10, but there was no such luck for the Clemson Tigers tonight. You met a bunch of these players when we went to the Spring game with Aunt Kali a couple weeks ago.

Before the spring game we tailgated with some of Mommy's friends from college. During the spring game you were really lucky and spent the whole game down on the field. You even got to meet lots of  former Clemson football players. You were definitely the youngest and smallest person down there. You had such a ball. Your favorite part of  the day was with out a doubt The Tiger! Every time you saw him you ran straight for him and even grabbed his tail and tried to run away with him while he was signing autographs. It was so cute and Aunt Kali got the best picture of you in the act. A picture of you and Aunt Kali from the game even made it to The Greenville News. You are such a stud. I am so proud of you sweet boy!

Tailgating before the game...just lounging!

You are such a little busy body, but to cute in your little jersey.
You and The Tiger played pretty much the whole game. You let him hold you and everything. You were the least bit afraid of him and I am so glad. Go Tigers!

Cutest picture ever...Thanks Aunt Kali

You and James Davis hanging out on the golf cart during the game. You ironically had his number when he played in college on your jersey that day. He now plays for the Washington Redskins. When Mommy was in school him and CJ Spiller were the best running back pair in the nation. They were nicknamed "Thunder and Lightening" and were very well-known. CJ now plays for the Buffalo Bills and had a great rookie season.

You and Da'Quan Bowers, a defensive end for the Tigers this year. He also won the honor of ACC Defensive Player of the year this season. He was also selected as the 51st overall pick in the 2011 draft and will play for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Those are some pretty high honors I would say! I am sure you will be watching these guys play in the NFL when you are older.

This is such a terrible picture because you look so scared, and Byron had no idea what he was doing. This is from Clemson Fan Day when you were about 4 months old. I wanted to post these picture because these guys were also drafted this year. To the left is Marcus Gilchrist who was selected 50th to the San Diego Chargers. On the right is Byron Maxwell who was selected as the 173rd pick to the Seattle Seahawks.

This is Jarvis Jenkins. Jarvis is pretty special because he went to High School with Daddy and they are pretty good friends. Over the years I have gotten to know Jarvis pretty well, and I have to say he is quite a character. Every time he sees you he calls you "Little Owino". Jarvis was selected as the 41st pick to the Washington Redskins! GO JARVIS!!
